Adolfo's on the Ocean

Italian fare with an Eastern Shore flair

History of Adolfo's

(Front page of our Menu)

Adolfo’s was established in the summer of 1987 in downtown

Ocean City. For nearly twenty-five years, it was located near the inlet in a charming turn of the century house.

Although the house had certainly seen its better days, it also had seen much love,

and will always hold many happy memories for our staff, our loyal customers, and us.

Since early spring of 2001, my husband David “Kanook” Griffin and I have been on a “labor of love” mission to provide delicious Italian meals served by a friendly staff in beautiful and charming atmosphere. Settling into the beautiful Beach Plaza feels like the perfect fit to help us maintain that vision! In addition to our classic Italian fare, we take great pride in originating creative chef’s specials ~ sometimes prepared with an Eastern Shore flair ~ all are always prepared with a pinch of love by Chef “Kanook”, and presented with care by our gracious staff.

All entrees include a house salad with our homemade Italian dressing.

We are famous for our generous portions, and although our homemade marinara is the star of many menu items, the heart of our success is our satisfied guests, our happy employees, and our dedication to excellence.

In our new home at the Beach Plaza Hotel, we will strive to continue that timeless, old world welcoming feel….a local place where great food, family and friends come together to create memorable moments..…the kind us place that will become your own home away from home. As a long time local’s favorite, we hope to become your favorite Italian restaurant too!

With sincere gratitude,

Your hosts,

Kimberly & David Griffin

Folks, please, please, silence your cell upon entering our dining room. If you must converse with someone other than your dining companion, please step into the lobby, the lounge, or even the good ole phone booth! Grazie!!!
